Dubai's price seasons at a glance
Dubai's flight prices track its weather. The glorious October–April season is peak demand from the UK; the scorching summer is when fares and 5-star hotel rates quietly collapse.
Cheapest months to fly: May, June and September — economy returns from London regularly dip to £280–£360. Most expensive: Christmas/New Year and February half-term, when £550–£700 returns are normal.
The booking sweet spot
For winter-season travel (October–April), fares are most competitive 8–12 weeks before departure. Earlier than that, airlines hold prices high; later, the cheap seats are gone.
For summer travel, you can book late — 2–4 weeks out — and still find excellent fares, because capacity outstrips demand.
Emirates, British Airways, Qatar Airways (via Doha) and Turkish Airlines (via Istanbul) compete hard on this route. The one-stop options often come in £80–£150 under the directs, with the bonus of a stopover city.
