The honest numbers
A 7-night Maldives honeymoon from the UK realistically starts around £2,200 per person for a 4-star resort with a beach villa on half-board, including flights and transfers. Water villas add £400–£900 per person for the week; 5-star names run £3,500–£6,000+ per person.
Season moves prices dramatically: December–April is peak (dry season), with Christmas/New Year the most expensive fortnight of the year. May–November — the 'green season' — cuts 25–40% off villa rates for weather that's still mostly glorious, with brief afternoon showers.
Board basis: do the maths before you fly
Nothing on a Maldives island is cheap once you're there — a casual dinner for two with wine can pass $200. That's why all-inclusive usually wins for honeymooners who enjoy a drink: the uplift is typically £60–£90 per person per day versus half-board, and breaks even fast.
