What does Umrah from the UK actually cost?
A realistic budget for a complete Umrah package from the UK — flights, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, transfers and visa support — falls into three tiers.
Economy packages from around £495 per person use comfortable 3-star hotels a short shuttle from the Haram. Mid-range from around £849 places you within a 5–10 minute walk. Premium 5-star packages from around £1,295 put you in Haram-view towers like those on Abraj Al Bait, steps from the courtyard.

Always confirm the hotel-to-Haram distance in metres — 'near the Haram' can mean anything. We publish the walking time for every hotel we sell.
Best months for Umrah
Ramadan is the most spiritually sought-after period and the most expensive — book 4–6 months ahead. December combines UK school holidays with mild Saudi winter weather (20–28°C) and is our most-booked month.
For the best prices and the quietest Haram, travel between late January and early March, or in October. Summer (June–August) offers the lowest package prices but daytime temperatures above 40°C.
The visa, simply explained
UK citizens and UK residents with valid status receive the Umrah visa electronically — our team files it with your package, and approval typically takes 24–72 hours. Your passport needs six months' validity from the travel date.
Women no longer require a mahram for Umrah, and there is no age restriction. Children travel on the same eVisa process.
